Wire Pass to Buckskin Gulch: BLM – Paria Canyon-Vermilion Cliffs Wilderness Area, Kanab, UT❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

4/23/2013: We did this as part of the longer Wire Pass TH to Lee’s Ferry TH backpack trip. If you can’t get a Wave permit but you still want to hike the area, this is a great hike. You will walk right by the trail to the Wave, but don’t take it unless you have a Wave permit. You can hike into Buckskin Gulch as far as you want, but remember, you have to turn around and come back.

• 6.0 Miles roundtrip – Family Friendly – it is hot out there, take snacks and lots of water for the family. 5-year old grandson? Yes, with plenty of breaks.

• Getting There: You have to travel on House Rock Valley Rd, which is dirt. If it rains, do not go; you will get stuck! Would I take our old Odyssey? Maybe, if the road is good and dry. Check the weather: .
